The new context offers Tunisia the opportunity to attract more FDI

Tunisia Investment Authority (TIA) participated in the event "Transitions big and small: How can Tunisia leverage the opportunities of a changing global trade landscape?" organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and IHEC Carthage, on Wednesday, 29 May 2024.
Mrs. Nodira Mansurova, the Head of the EBRD Office in Tunisia, opened the event. The panel included Mr. Samir Abdelhafidh, Secretary of State to the Minister of Economy and Planning in charge of SMEs, Mrs. Nadia Mzoughi Aguir, President of the University of Carthage, and Mrs. Namia Ayadi, President of TIA.
Mrs. Beata Javorcik, the EBRD's Chief Economist, presented the EBRD report, highlighting the trends in global value chains in the context of Nearshoring, the challenges of the green economy, and an assessment of regional economies in terms of competitiveness, governance, green economy, inclusion, resilience and integration.
Mrs. Namia Ayadi indicated that the new context offers Tunisia the opportunity to attract more FDI, particularly in the industrial, renewable energy, R&D and ICT sectors, thanks to a pool of talented skills.
The participation of TIA in this event testifies to its commitment to promoting Tunisia as a dynamic investment destination and supporting the continued economic growth of the country.

La Tunisia Investment Authority (TIA) a participé à l'événement "Transitions big and small: How can Tunisia leverage the opportunities of a changing global trade landscape?" organisé par la Banque Européenne pour la Reconstruction et le Développement (BERD) et l'IHEC Carthage, le mercredi 29 mai 2024.
Mme. Nodira Mansurova, Cheffe du Bureau de la BERD en Tunisie, a ouvert l'événement. Le panel comprenait M. Samir Abdelhafidh, Secrétaire d'État auprès du Ministre de l'Économie et de la Planification chargé des PME, Mme. Nadia Mzoughi Aguir, Présidente de l'Université de Carthage, et Mme. Namia Ayadi, Présidente de la TIA.
Mme. Beata Javorcik, Économiste en chef de la BERD, a présenté le rapport de la BERD, mettant en lumière les tendances des chaînes de valeur mondiales dans le contexte du Nearshoring, les défis de l'économie verte, et une évaluation des économies régionales en termes de compétitivité, gouvernance, économie verte, inclusion, résilience et intégration.
Mme. Namia Ayadi a indiqué que le nouveau contexte offre à la Tunisie l'opportunité d'attirer davantage d'IDE, notamment dans les secteurs industriels, des énergies renouvelables, de la R&D et des TIC, grâce à un vivier de compétences talentueux.
La participation de la TIA à cet événement témoigne de son engagement à promouvoir la Tunisie comme destination d'investissement dynamique et à soutenir la croissance économique continue du pays.
